RegFind has many advantages over NRC's ADAMS. RegFind can answer complex licensing questions by working just as a licensing professional would: reviewing multiple, relevant documents and then extracting the information into accurate, informative responses. RegFind also allows you to search the full text of NRC's database using everyday language, making it easier to find exactly what you're looking for without complex query syntax. None of this is available in NRC's ADAMS.
How is RegFind different from other custom AI nuclear solutions?
Many AI solutions mix their data and AI model together—so if the data changes or new documents appear, they have to retrain the entire model, which is expensive, slow, and can reduce accuracy. RegFind avoids that problem by keeping these two parts separate:
- Documents Stay Up to Date: In other products, the model may only be as current as its last training cycle, which could be months ago. With RegFind, the moment we add new or updated documents, they’re ready for you—no retraining required.
- No Expensive Hardware or Model Retraining: Training a custom model to handle all the nuclear data can require specialized machines and lots of time. RegFind uses proven, state-of-the-art models and references the latest documents on demand, which is simpler and more cost-effective.
- Better Logic and Reliability: Custom-trained models can lose some of the original model’s reasoning ability, especially if they’re based on older AI versions.
